Policies

MIUpperHand committed to protecting your privacy. We use the information we collect about you to process orders and to provide a more personalized shopping experience. We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to others.

When you order, we need to know your name, e-mail address, billing address, shipping address, a phone number where you can be reached during business hours, credit card number, and expiration date. This allows us to process your order and to notify you of your order status.

If we have any questions about your order, we will contact you as quickly as possible, either by phone or email.

 

Shipping Policy 

We're dedicated to making sure everyone far and wide can get a hold of our goods.

We ship both domestically and internationally using UPS. We can and will ship to PO Boxes, Alaska, Hawaii, and APO/FPOs. If you need specific delivery arrangements, please let us know in the order notes.

Shipping is automatically calculated based on what you've ordered, how much it weighs and where you live. You'll get a chance to review shipping charges before you commit to ordering.

Live in the Escanaba, Michigan area or are passing though? We offer pickup from our office. We don't do in-person sales, though, so please order on-line first. You'll be given the change to select pickup when you check-out.

 

Credit Card Safety

When you order, we transfer to a secure server before collecting your credit card information. The secure server software (SSL) encrypts then sends your information securely. Your credit card information is used only by Authorize.net, a credit card processing company.

Customer Satisfaction

We want you to be pleased with the products we send you. If your items arrive damaged, we will refund the price of the item, taxes and shipping. For broken or damaged items, we require photo verification emailed the same day as the box is opened.

If you do not like your items, we will gladly exchange them for any other items in our selection and either refund or charge you the difference. If you decide to cancel your order, please contact us immediately or return the items if they have already been shipped. A refund will be issued, less a 15% restocking fee. All returns and exchanges must take place within 14 days of receipt of your order.

Communication

We keep you informed of your order status every step of the way by sending you a confirmation e-mail when we receive your order, and when it ships. We also provide you a UPS tracking number. If at any point in the process you need to clarify your order, please e-mail or call us.

Suggestions

We exist to support the creative class of the Upper Peninsula and provide their products to displaced Yoopers around the world. If you have any suggestions on products that you would like to see on our site. Please drop us a line.

Sales Tax

A sales tax of 6% is collected on orders sent to addresses within the State of Michigan.
